First and foremost, I am a man of faith who has been gifted with the ability and desire to connect with people in honest and meaningful ways, to form relationships that enhance and transcend the digital world. Photography is one of the avenues where I have been able to realize my blessing. My 35 years in photography has been influenced by many factors – my faith, my family, my background as a teacher, and, yes, even my 30 years as an improvisational comedian. They all flow out of a life lesson that I’ve been blessed to learn – follow one’s heart. That lesson has served me well over the years. My veneration of marriage led me into wedding photography as well as a ministry of taking photos of married couples at church. My love of baseball blossomed into 28 years as the team photographer for the Texas Rangers. Lately, I have had the unique opportunity to photograph events with Presidents Bush and Clinton, Governor Abbott, the Museum of the Bible along with various corporations such as Raytheon, MD Anderson and Southwest Airlines.
As well as photography, I direct and perform in two improvisational comedy troupes. Kidprov (www.kidprov.com) uses improv as a teaching tool for use in schools and Fish Sticks (www.fishstickscomedy.com) – a nationally renowned Christ-centered improv troupe featuring family-friendly shows as well as corporate training.
